Indexed Annuities

Type of long-term investment that is issued by an insurance company. It is designed to help protect you from the risk of outliving your income and is intended to be purchased for a period of ten years or longer. Your purchase payments (what you contribute) will be converted into periodic payments that may continue for the rest of your life if you choose to annuitize them.
